This past weekend both Katy's team and my team got wins. My team played against Güssing on Saturday at home. Güssing is not having the best year this year, but they did beat us the first time we played them. We were out to get revenge and show we are the better team. Throughout the game we had leads where we were up by 15 or 20, then they would bring the score back within a few points. This happened a couple times but in the end we won 91-72. I think if we could have prevented their runs we would have been able to win by 30 or more. We play them 2 more times this year so maybe we will be able to get a great win in one or both of them.
Katy also had a game this weekend. They played Innsbruck, a team that also beat them the first time they played. In the first game they lost by 9, but in this game they won by 10. It was a back and forth game the entire game. In the 4th quarter one of the other team's best players fouled out and Katy's team took advantage with a press and were able to push the score out to 10 points. It was great to watch, especially as Katy had 22 points and 10 rebounds.
For the game, a friend and I took drums to the game. Over here for the basketball games there are people that bang on drums to make noise. For Katy's game we were able to borrow some of the the drums from my team and bang on them for Katy's game. We had a good time doing it and would like to think that we helped out a little. :)
