Tough weekend

Well this weekend Katy and I both had games this weekend. We both had tough losses. Katy's team played a team that they beat by 40 the first time around. She said this time that it was basically a rugby match with the refs playing on the other team. Everyone that tried to take the ball into the middle or into the paint got hacked and torn apart, and of course no call. One girl even got tossed for saying to the ref (after she got fouled) "you must have a soft spot for number 8" (on the other team). Must have hit a nerve or something of the truth becasue the ref tossed Katy's teamate out of the game for saying that. They ended up losing by 3. So now they are in 2nd place. This weekend they play the #1 team. If they beat them Katys team will be tied with them for 1st. The tie breaker will be head-to-head points. Last time Katy's team lost by 10 points, so if they win by 11 they will be in 1st by themselves.

Our game in Ludwigsburg was tough. We played fairly well for most of the game and with 5 seconds left (with the game tied) we had the ball and should have gotten a shot, but the ball got fumbled and we didnt get a shot off. We went to overtime and ended up losing. We have had a lot of close games and its our time to start winning some of them. We play at home against Braunsweig this weekend and hopefully we can get a winning streak going!
