Driving in Austria
Driving in Austria is similar to driving in Germany. Most of the cars are smaller and most are manual transmission. Here they also have the stop lights that go from red, to red and yellow at the same time, to green. The ready set go lights. Here though when the light is going to turn to yellow it doesnt just turn from green to yellow. The green light blinks 3 or 4 times first to let you know it is going to go to yellow. Then it goes to yellow and then to red. It is pretty nice when you are driving. It probably seems like it is not that big of a deal but it is a nice addition to the lights we are used to. Unlike Germany there is a speed limit here. You cant go as fast as you want to on the Autobahn. Here you have to go 130 kph on the main highways and 100 kph on the 2 lane highways.
